Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Langston Parker earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Clemson University, where he focused on entrepreneurship and business development. Ellis earned her law degree from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, a top-ranked institution in the field of intellectual property. Her legal education emphasized trademark and copyright law, providing a strong foundation in IP.
She gained valuable experience working as a summer associate at Carstens & Cahoon, LLP, an IP-focused law firm based in Dallas, Texas. There, she worked on trademark clearance searches, filing trademark and copyright applications, preparing USPTO Office Action responses, and assisting with proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
Beyond intellectual property, Ellis has over five years of experience handling complex business and commercial litigation, including matters involving copyright defense. She also founded Pro Re Nata Legal Solutions, LLC, a company providing legal research and drafting services to attorneys and firms nationwide. Ellis is originally from Littleton, Colorado, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Arizona. Jason Carter started his career in Austin, TX as a licensed Real Estate Agent and Property Manager, controlling a 300+ unit portfolio including single family and multi-family properties.
Working in Austin’s booming entrepreneurial climate inspired Jason to shift focus as a small business manager and consultant — specializing in Google Apps for Business, Growth Hacking and Social Media Marketing. Meanwhile, he also acquired a Yoga Teacher certification, specializing in providing therapeutic yoga for special populations.
Jason’s personal passions, entrepreneurial expertise, and professional experience led to him owning a successful boutique in New Orleans, and co-owning a yoga studio in Houston.
He has since moved to Santa Barbara, where his family now resides.
