The U.S. Trademark Office imposes deadlines for filing the necessary renewal documents. Be sure to follow these guidelines:

File a Section 8 declaration—confirming continued use of your trademark—between the 5th and 6th year of registration.
You can also file a Section 15 declaration for incontestability between the 5th and 6th years of registration, which prevents others from challenging your trademark on several grounds:

Incontestability Status Benefits (Section 15): If filed, your mark cannot be challenged based on (1) lack of distinctiveness or secondary meaning, (2) confusion with a prior registered trademark, or (3) functionality (e.g., the shape of a Coca-Cola bottle being functional for ease of holding).

File both a Section 8 and Section 9 renewal between the 9th and 10th year of registration.

Which Trademark Renewal Service Should You Choose?

If you’re between the 5th and 6th year of U.S. trademark registration, you have two options:

File a Section 8 declaration (a confirmation with proof of continued use of your trademark).
File both a Section 8 declaration and a Section 15 declaration for incontestability status.

If you're between the 9th and 10th year of U.S. trademark registration, you need to file both the Section 8 declaration (confirmation with proof of continued use) and the Section 9 renewal request.
